Step 1: Cutting the Leather 🔪
A full hide is unrolled and inspected. The first move? Dodge every scar, vein, and wrinkle. Then a template goes on, one cut makes one cover.
Miss by a millimeter, lose the whole piece. There is no undo button here. 🎯
Step 2: Hand-Waxed Thread vs. Glue — Two Paths, Two Lifespans 🧵🆚🧴
When it’s time to secure the structure, our factory runs two separate lines:
Glue assembly line: Fast. Hundreds of units a day. But the adhesive ages — loosens after a year, falls apart after three. That’s the math of cutting costs.
Hand-sewn waxed-thread line: Slow. A skilled artisan can only finish a few dozen a day. But waxed thread passes through punched holes and locks with knots — won’t snap, won’t fray. One thread lasts a decade. That’s the math of integrity. 💪

Step 3: Hot Stamping 🔥
A brass die heats to 180°C, then pressed into the leather. Too deep and it burns. Too shallow and it fades. Dwell time? That’s pure craftsman instinct.
The logo isn’t printed on. It’s branded in. A millimeter deep. Still there ten years later. 🏷️
Step 4: QC — Better to Fail in Our Workshop Than in Your Customer’s Hands 🔍
Every notebook passes four sets of eyes before leaving:
Leather surface: Color variance over 5%? Rejected. Scars, scratches? Rejected.
Stitching: 5–6 stitches per inch. One skipped stitch = full rework.
Lay-flat: Pressed open to the max. No spine cracking, no popping sounds.
Open-close cycle: 100 full opens and closes simulating three months of use. Buckles, magnets, elastic bands — all checked for looseness.
Our pass rate is not 100%. But we refuse to let a 99% batch destroy one client’s trust. ✅
